Titanic Passenger – Pemmie Digby

On my site will be found a page concerning my great grandmother’s sister – Pemmie Digby. My great grandmother told the story that Pemmie had returned from America where she had sung the lead role in Traviata at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York – abdhad been a great success. She was either to be married or had been married in England and she and her husband or husband to be travelled and went down together on the Titanic. We never knew her stage name – in which she would have travelled or the name of her husband or husband to be – I must admit when I first hear the tale – and I was quite young at the time – it made little impression on me – I guess one does not think of events on the same perspective when you are young. About This Site

This website relates to the story of the Titanic. The Grand Ocean liner sank during its maiden journey on April 15, 1912. The death toll was 1523 of the 2228 passengers and crew members aboard. There were only 705 that survived. But there is more to the story of the Titanic than just the sinking. There is the connection people feel when they open their hearts to the event. Then there is also the Children of the Titanic, the people that are related to a person aboard the ship. In all reality anyone that feels connected in there heart to the Titanic somehow can be called a "Child of the Titanic". So on that note! Welcome to the site!
